Nashville Culture & Arts
Nashville is known world-wide for the cultural diversity and arts that abound in and around the city. From historic landmarks to state-of-the-art architecture, the city is teeming with artistic vibes.
Aside from the country music connection, Nashville is home to the world-renowned Nashville Symphony. The Schermerhorn houses the different concert halls for the symphony, operas and musical performers.
Nashville also has an arts district on West End and quite a few art museums. The Frist Center for the Arts is located downtown and hosts many different art exhibits throughout the year. The Parthenon in Centennial Park houses a museum that is complete with a 30 foot golden statue of Athena.
Nashville Arts Magazine opens the doors to the wide variety of arts to experience in and around Nashville and the Arts and Business Council work to bring the arts to everyone.
Down by the riverfront stadium you will see “Ghost Ballet for the East Bank Machineworks” by Alice Aycock (pictured here). Alice Aycock is a nationally recognized artist with large, outdoor sculptures in San Francisco, New York and Kansas City.
